Hours of Operation

The Warinanco Skating Center traditionally opens for its ice skating season in October, and runs through March.

General public skating sessions are held daily except Mondays, and a family session is held each Friday evening.

Special Prices

It is the policy of Union County to provide reduced rates for selected age groups, making ice skating an inexpensive recreational hobby.

Youth, 17 years of age and younger, and senior citizens, 62 years of age and older, receive special consideration through discount admission rates.

Groups of 20 or more who enter together and pay as a group, receive a discounted admission rate.

Discount Cards

Union County residents who are frequent visitors can save on the price of admission by purchasing a discount card, available for either 10 or 30 visits. These cards can also be used to defray admission fees when taking group skating lessons. Special discount cards are also available for the Open Hockey program.

The School Savings Plan

Ice skating can become part of any elementary, secondary or collegiate physical education curriculum or special event through the School Savings Plan. These groups are welcome to skate for only $2.00 per student -- $1.00 for admission and $1.00 for skate rentals.

Advanced arrangements are necessary for this program which is available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

The Ice Chalet

Don't let the state of your skates keep you at home. Ice skate sharpening services are available at the Ice Chalet. You can also purchase the latest in figure and hockey skates with the expert advice of the center's ice skating professional. A full line of hockey and figure skate equipment and accessories is also available, including hockey jerseys representing all the major teams, hockey sticks, skate covers and more. A vending machine located in the warming room stocks small skate needs such as laces.
