The County of Union will be amending the Fiscal Year 2008 Consolidated Plan to include monies now being made available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
These additional funds, in the amount of $1,420,000 and referred to as CDBG-R, will be used to fund various infrastructure improvements in Union County. These funds must principally benefit low and moderate income areas as determined by census data and HUD eligibility criteria and job creation.
Copies of the amendment are available for review at the County of Union Administration Building, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07207, in the office of Clerk of the Freeholder Board and the Department of Parks and Community Renewal, Division of Planning and Community Development 5th floor. The plan is also available for review at the County of Union Web Site, www.ucnj.org and clicking on “CDBG-R”. Comments can be made to Alfred J.
