Eighteen-year-old Simone March of Scotch Plains, pictured here riding “Jack”, was awarded the “Trooper of the Year” trophy and medal for accumulating the most points for attendance, horsemanship and dedication to the Watchung Mounted Troop program during the
2006-2007 riding season at Watchung Stable in Mountainside.
Simone has been riding for ten years and this is the second year in a row that she has received this honor. Watchung Stable, a facility of the Union County Department of Parks, Recreation and Facilities,
is a service of the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
