Mountainside, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders invites adults, ages 18 and older, to participate in a Beginning Yoga workshop to help reduce the stress of a busy work week. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 6, from 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. at the newly renovated Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside.
Yoga techniques can awaken poise, grace and centered awareness. Discover the soothing techniques of Vinyasa Yoga with Kelly Gallagher, a registered yoga instructor with the Yoga Alliance. This is an opportunity to learn and experience gentle yoga techniques for integrating body, mind and spirit. Soothing music and the natural sounds of the new, indoor waterfall exhibit will enhance the experience.
Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Bring a pad, mat and towel. The fee is $10 for residents of Union County and $15 for out-of-county participants. Doors will open 15 minutes before the program begins.
“The scenic Watchung Reservation provides the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day,” said Freeholder Chairwoman Bette Jane Kowalski, liaison to the Union County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. “Trailside’s new state-of-the-art exhibits bring nature indoors and allow for a peaceful setting to release the day’s stress.”
