ELIZABETH, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased
to present an exhibit by the Contemporary Art Group of the Westfield Art Association in the gallery space at the offices of the Union County Division
of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, located at 633 Pearl Street in Elizabeth. “Faces and Places” – an exhibit of oil, watercolor, pastel, encaustic, etching,
ink, and photography – graces the walls of the historic Pearl Street Gallery through February 15.

The beautiful and inspiring works of 17 local artists are eclectic and engaging. The Contemporary Art Group showcases its wide range of styles, media,
and subject matter to start the New Year on a high note at the Pearl Street Gallery. Presented in conjunction with the Westfield Art Association, this latest exhibition has something for everyone – from portraits that border the traditional to abstracts on the cutting edge. Many of the fine artists on display are well-established award-winners.
Listed alphabetically by town are the exhibiting artists: Fanwood, Sigal Lenz, Paula Pearl and Jeanne Smith; Livingston, Michal Barkai; Park Ridge, Liron Sissman; Rahway, Marie Gerus; Roselle Park, Dolores Brink
and Rosalia Verdun; Union, Barbara McPartland Bohmer and Sheilia Lenga; Watchung, Althea Scheller
and Monica Schraiber Otera; Westfield, Francesca Azzara, Linda Kolar, Diana S. Taliaferro and Barbara Uhr; and Woodbridge, Maxine King.
The mission of the Contemporary Art Group of the Westfield Art Association is to provide a forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas and information related to the contemporary art world; open up avenues
for members to show their work; promote and gain recognition above and beyond the traditional channels;
and offer constructive criticism and encouragement to each other in the pursuit of individual and joint art endeavors. For membership information, please send

The “Faces and Places” exhibit can be seen now through February 15th.
Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
