Brightly-colored geraniums, impatiens, philodendrons, Wandering Jews and snake plants were on sale at RUNNELLS SpecializedHospital of Union County. The proceeds from the Mother’s Day sale will be used to benefit the facility’s residents and patients.

“Guild member Sylvia DeBrito of Watchung carefully raised and donated some of the plants to sell at this annual Guild plant sale,” explained Union County Freeholder Mohamed S. Jalloh, liaison to RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital. “DeBrito, affectionately known as ‘The Plant Lady’ cares for the facility’s indoor plants and has used some of the cuttings she nurtured to increase the greenery in the facility. The other plants on sale were generously donated by fellow Guild member and Watchung resident Joan Confort.
