Union County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Haz-Mat supervisor William Kane has been selected to serve as the New Deputy Coordinator/Deputy Director of the office, effective immediately. Kane has been a full-time employee with OEM since 2003.
“Having worked in the public and private sectors, William Kane’s experience in all aspects of emergency management will go a long way in helping protect the lives and property of our residents,” said Freeholder Chairman Daniel P. Sullivan. “We are proud to add his knowledge to our OEM management team.”
Kane has more than 15 years of experience in emergency response, site remediation and plant maintenance and repair in the private and public sector. He has worked for chemical, pharmaceutical, power and telecommunications companies.
Kane is a lifelong resident of Union County and is an active community volunteer in youth soccer and baseball.
