Evening Gentle Yoga Series at Trailside Begins Feb. 9

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to offer an evening gentle yoga workshop for adults 18 years and older as part of Trailside Nature and Science Center’s winter adult programming. Classes are offered on Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. from February 9 through March 30. Participants are not required to sign up for all eight sessions.

“After a long day at work, this gentle yoga program offers relaxation of body and mind,” said Freeholder Chairman Daniel P. Sullivan.

Let the sounds of an indoor waterfall soothe your senses and calm your soul. Use nature’s healing powers to help relieve stress and its symptoms as you relax and unwind in the comfort and warmth of Trailside’s beautiful Visitor Center. Yoga techniques can awaken poise, and centered awareness in the midst of everyday life. This is an opportunity to learn and experience Raja yoga techniques for integrating body and mind.

Claire M. Bay, yoga instructor certified by the Chopra Center in New York City, is returning to Trailside to teach and guide you in this new pathway of meditation. Soothing music will enhance the experience. Bring a yoga mat or pillow if you have one.

Pre-registration is preferred as space is limited. The fee for each session is $10 for Union County residents and $15 for out-of-county participants. Doors open 15 minutes prior to the event.
