Services are contracted with community and faith-based agencies specializing in homeless services. Staff support for the Comprehensive Emergency Assistance Systems (CEAS) Committee is also provided.
Human Services Advisory Council (HSAC) 527-4843
Each county’s HSAC is appointed by the government of each county to review county level human service activities and to serve as the primary vehicle for making local recommendations to assist both the county government and the New Jersey Department of Human Services’ decision making; identifying the high priority human service needs for their community; the coordination and improvement of services to target populations; the planning, coordination and implementation of NJDHS initiatives at the county level; and input to the NJDHS on funding priorities and allocations. Union County DHS staff supports the HSAC, its committees, task forces, etc.
