What is the Union County Rape Crisis Center?
The Rape Crisis Center provides services to county reidents who are victims or survivors of sexual abuse. Services include individual, family and group counseling; a group for mothers of incest victims; a staff of qualified support counselors and 24-hour hotline. The center can accompany individuals to a hospital or court.

The Center provides a wide range of services which include:

RAPE CRISIS / ADVOCACY
• 24-HOUR HOTLINE (908) 233-RAPE(7273).
• Accompaniment to Hospitals, Police Departments,
and Court by Rape Crisis Advocates.
Rape Crisis Advocates receive specialized training on sexual trauma, crisis intervention, and advocacy.

COUNSELING
• Individual Counseling to survivors of sexual assault and their friends and families.
• Group Counseling to survivors of sexual assault.
All counseling is provided by qualified
Professional Counselors.

CONSULTATION
Staff can provide consultation to clinicians in the community working with survivors of sexual assault.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING
To mental health professionals, hospital personnel,
and law enforcement.

SPEAKERS BUREAU PROGRAM
Presentations on sexual assault are available to schools, agencies, and organizations throughout Union County.

RESOURCE CENTER
Informative materials on rape, incest, sexual harrassment, and child sexual abuse are available.
