New Sole Proprietorship or Partnership businesses established in Union County must file a Trade Name Certificate with the Union County Clerk.
Requirements include the following:
- A Trade Name Application (Complete numbers 1 to 4; Do not sign)
- Make (3) three copies of this completed Application
- Sign each of the (4) four in the presence of a Notary Public, obtaining proper Notarization
- A check or money or money order for $54.00 made payable to the Union County Clerk must accompany the Applications
- Mail all (4) four Trade Name Applications, the $54.00 payment and a self addressed, stamped envelope to:

Cancellation of Trade Name

To cancel a Sole Proprietorship or Partnership business established in Union County, a Cancellation of Trade Name Certificate must be files with the Union County Clerk.
Requirements include the following:
- A Cancellation of Trade Name Application (Do not sign)
- Make (2) two copies of this completed Application
- Sign each of the (3) three in the presence of a Notary Public, obtaining proper Notarization
- A check or money order for $27.00 made payable to the Union County Clerk must accompany the Cancellation Applications
- Mail all (3) three Trade Name Applications, the $27.00 payment and a self addressed, stamped envelope to:
