Procedures for paying a bail at the Union County Jail

Bail Bondsmen may contact the Bail Office to make an appointment with the bail clerk by dialing (908) 527-4459

When posting a bail at the Union County Jail, you must have

Current, valid Photo-Identification

Cash or certified check for the amount of the bail made out to the State of NJ Bail unit.

A $30.00 filing fee for each indictable bail (bring exact change, we cannot make change)

All probation fines and domestic arrears must be paid at the

during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. After normal business hours, and on weekends, and holidays, probation fines and domestic arrears may be paid at the Union County jail.

Bails are accepted at the Union County Jail
24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Appointments are NOT necessary to pay a bail at the Union County Jail.
