Union County now has several permanent collection sites for unused, unwanted and expired medication. Please click on the link below for the site locations. The goal of the program is to allow residents of Union County to deliver all their unwanted medicines to law enforcement officials who can in turn dispose of these controlled substances in a safe and non-hazardous manner.
National Take-Back Initiative
The National Take Back Initiative is a one-day collection event where most local police departments collect unwanted or unused medications. The next event is as follows:
April 26, 2014 – 10AM to 2PM
The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
