The Bureau of Transportation Planning develops and sponsors major mass transit, road infrastructure, transportation management and freight movement projects. The Bureau secures federal and state grant funds for technical studies and strategic planning initiatives regarding countywide transportation and infrastructure issues. Staff work on the development of programs to enhance countywide transportation systems and coordinates and reviews transportation data developed for the County area by regional transportation agencies.
